It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtice R. Gatlin (Fort Worth, Texas), who passed away on January 2, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Roscoe Gatlin of Wayne County and Thomas Sample of Fort Worth; her daughters, Marion Annette Gatlin and Donna Kay York of Fort Worth; her parents, Walter Brewer and Ida Mae Brewer; and her siblings, Tellie Everett Brewer, Melba Manning of Richton, MS., Bracie Irene Jones of Laurel, MS. and Thelma Jean Watts of Semmes.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Angelina Karma Hoffman (Gentry Hoffman); her great grandchild Finneas Hoffman of Austin, Texas; her son-in-law Jonathan Edwards York; and her siblings, Esra Shelton Brewer, Walter Rayborn Brewer of Richton, Miss., Winnie Mae Dykes, Patsye Ruth Wells and Dorothy Rae Crawford (Bill) of Waxahachie.
