She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelsie Anderson Crawford and Charlie Crawford; her sister Charlie Mae Johnson; her son Colonel Ray Allen Courtney, Sr.; and her grandchildren, Anthony Todd Manning, Nicole Hernandez Courtney and Ray Allen Courtney Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Elsie Marie Manning and Clarice Courtney White Reeves; her daughter-in-law Carmen Hernandez Courtney; and her grandchildren, Darlene Quincy, Kevin Manning, MaKiesha Manning Luhrs and Hakim Johnson (Tonya). She is also survived by other loving great-grandchildren.
