She was predeceased by: her parents, William Butler and Stella Butler; her husband Leon Hoggatt; and her siblings, Melba Lee Keesee, Veatrice Brazelton and Edwin Butler.

She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Smith and Gay Lynn Reeder (Ronny Reeder); her grandchildren, Kristy Philips (Alex Philips) and Clay Reeder; her great grandchild Madison Philips; and her siblings, Al Butler and Alberta Bohannon.
