He was predeceased by: his former wife Martha Kloster; and his son James Brett McCoy. He is survived by: his children, John M. McCoy Jr. (Sharon) and Marilyn Kaye Walker (Craig); his stepson John Larry Roberts (Deborah); and also Jana Renee McCoy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
