He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Elizabeth; his parents, Dave and Ruby; his siblings, Lottie, Lou Ella and Jerry; and his brothers-in-law, Randall, John and Doyce.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca (Steve) of Wichita, Tammy (Dennis) of San Antonio, Jerry (Kirston) of Fort Worth and James Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; his grandchildren, Kandace, Ryan, Mykah, Benjamin, Katelyn, Jacob, Jaron, Rachel and James; and his sister Colleen. He is also survived by spouses and 9 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Joyce Spindor Community Center (620 Park Center Blvd, Saginaw, TX 76179).
