He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Ivydale Rhoades Monk and David Charles Monk; his daughter Darla Diane Harder; and his wife Betty Jean Loyd Monk. He is survived by: his children, David Monk and Suzanne Kelly; and his grandchildren, Allen Small, Steven Small, Sarah Grace Small, Jennifer Monk Quinene, Rebecca Monk and Alexander Harder. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel (1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, TX 76053).
