He was predeceased by: his parents, Geneva Jo Maberry and Albert Maberry; and his sister Peggy Maberry Ross. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Carey; his children, Georgia, Sylvia, Katie Merecka (Jordan), Abby Maberry and Carson Maberry (Sylvia); his grandson Declan Maberry; and his brothers, Albert Maberry, Jr. (Barbara) and Arthur Maberry (Danna).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made, in Gordon's name to the Fort Worth Local 440 Charity https://www.iaff440.org.
