She was predeceased by: her fathers, William Douglas Covin and James Smithwick (Smitty); and her sisters, Shirley Shiflett and Melinda Benbow. She is survived by: her daughter Shellie Gibbs; her granddaughter Haven Medders; her great grandchildren, Zella and Jonnie Medders; her siblings, Dorthy Anderson and James Covin; and also Janette. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
