He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Connie Cottrell and Ova Hurt; his wife Shirley Croker Cottrell; and his sons, Denzil Cottrell (Molly) of Fort Stockton and Brooks Cottrell (Jana) of Arlington. He was also cherished by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
