He was predeceased by: his parents, Julio Quintella and Antonia Quintella; and his siblings, Refugio Quintela, Abel Quintela, Cleto Quintela and Esperanza Q. Celaya.

He is survived by: his brothers, Jose Quintela and Jesus Quintela. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
