He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Moody and Cora Moody (Draper); and his stepdaughter Regina Perryman. He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Dan Moody and Patricia Moody Harveson; his stepsons, Robert and Randy Tucker; and his siblings, Reita Prewitt Bates, Jackson and Kinley Moody.
