He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis McGovern and Jennie Mae McGovern; his grandson Cody Joe Henderson; and his niece Vickie Foster. He is survived by: his wife Wanda McGovern; his children, James C. McGovern (Darlene) of Odessa, Steven L McGovern (Bernice) of Belen and Billie Jean Wells (Greg) of Fort Stockton, TX; and his siblings, Doyle McGovern of Lubbock, TX, Jo Ann Meyers and Bobbie Jean Methvin (Glen) of Alabama. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
