She was predeceased by: her parents, James Travis Roberts, Sr. and Annie Pauline Roberts; her husband William "Bill" Hargus; her brothers, James Travis Roberts, Jr. and John Roberts; and her son Charles Lorenz.

She is survived by: her brother Billy Gene "Ike" Roberts of Marathon; her daughter Peggy Elliott (Rob) of Sweetwater; her daughter-in-law Debbie Lorenz of Fort Stockton; her grandchildren, Amy Reeves (Jonathan) of Bronte, Taryn Johnson (James) of San Antonio, Jane Ann Olivas (JoJo) of Shiner, Kirsten Burson (Dusty) of Panhandle and Will Lorenz (Mary) of Fort Stockton; her great grandchildren, Katlyn Reeves, Carter Reeves, Teresa Olivas, Madison Olivas, Shambry Burson, Maggie Burson, Joshua Yanez, Austin Yanez and Ava Grace Johnson; her nephews, James Travis Roberts III (Katie), Joe Roberts (Zaira) and Tim Roberts (Amy); and her niece Terri Harkey (Alan).

The family has requested memorials made to First Presbyterian Church, Marathon Cemetery Association, West Texas Historical Association, or a charity of choice.
