With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alva Carpenter (Fort Stockton, Texas), who passed away on February 19, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Carpenter and Velma McElhannon Carpenter; his daughter Linda Lou Carpenter Stoner; his brother John Mac Carpenter; his nephew Lawrence Carpenter; and his great-niece Cheyenne Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Brown Carpenter of Fort Stockton, Texas; his children, Velma Kay Campbell of Fort Stockton and Steven Francis Carpenter of Dell City, Texas; his grandchildren, Jacob Campbell, Ben Campbell, Dan Campbell, Laura Stoner Thorton (James) of Fort Stockton, Denise Stoner Meierhoff (Frank) of Fort Stockton, Kayden Stoner, Zoe Baker, Jessica Meierhoff, Ciara Meierhoff and Ashlyn Meierhoff of Fort Stockton; his nieces and nephews, Maura Carpenter, Tricia Brown, Jay Brown, John Brown and Kyle Brown; and his great-nephews, Jacob and Kaleb Johnson of Fort Stockton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Historical Society of Fort Stockton.
