He was predeceased by: his wife Alicia M. Alvizo; and his brothers, Angel Alvizo, Joe Alvizo, Toribio Alvizo, Robert Alvizo and Primitivo Alvizo.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Alvizo-Gonzales, Eloisa Alvizo, Lidia Alvizo Bolado, Ofelia Hernandez, Rose Alvizo, Amelia Alvizo, Beatrice Alvizo-Garza and Zacarias Alvizo, Jr.; and his siblings, Mary Alvizo Resendez, Jose Alvizo and Juan Alvizo. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
