He is survived by: his children, Nelda Carrillo Valerio, Ruben Carrillo Jr., Mario Carrillo, Sergio Carrillo and Javier Carrillo; his grandchildren, Melissa O'Quinn, Brian O'Quinn, Joshua Valerio, Brianna Valerio, Irene Carrillo, Cynthia Carrillo, Eric Carrillo, Lydia Carrillo Pelt, Orlando Carrillo, April Carrillo, Samuel Carrillo and Bessie Elidia Carrillo; his great grandchildren, Shannon O'Quinn, Savannah O'Quinn, Sienna O'Quinn, Logan O'Quinn, Alannah O'Quinn Perez, Ruben Jesus Carrillo, Michael Thomas Fletcher and Josiah Pelt; and his brother Leo Carrillo.
