He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawson K Franks and Iler Mae Franks; his siblings, Earlene, Raymond, Waymond, Billy Gene and Lee; and his son Michael Ray.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen Franks; his siblings, Dale Lindsay and Willard; his children, Randy (Becky), Gene and Erin of Amarillo, TX; and his grandchildren, Shaelee, Christina, Christopher, Rebekah, Michael Jr., Sarah, Jason, Brandon, Jared, Jessica, Sheldon, Sierra, Sheridan, Shayne and Sheyenne. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
