Sylvia DeOchoa Obituary

We bid farewell to Sylvia DeOchoa of Floydada, Texas, born in Taft, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 29, 2024 at the age of 75. Sylvia touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ramon Naranjo and Thomasa Hernandez Naranjo (Hernandez); and her siblings, Ricardo Hernandez, Celia Castro, Matilde Quilimaco, Ramona DeLeon and Juana Reyes.

She is survived by: her husband Rafael DeOchoa; her children, Nohemi DeOchoa (Pollo), Johnny DeOchoa and Junior DeOchoa (Larita Martinez); her grandchildren, Diannei Montes (Michael Mundell), Jade DeOchoa (Victor Martinez), Annamaree DeOchoa (Garrett Pederson), Liliana Hernandez, Jada DeOchoa, Juan DeOchoa (Jennifer DeOchoa), Joseph DeOchoa (Kayla Luna), Baby Junior DeOchoa, Sergio Hernandez and Jakob DeOchoa; and her great grandchildren, Kaylee Luna, Natalie DeOchoa, Nora Pederson, Amelia DeOchoa, June DeOchoa, Jacob Luna, Juan DeOchoa, Jayce DeOchoa and Rafael DeOchoa.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 2nd 2024 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada Monday (329 W California St, Floydada, TX 79235). A rosary was held on Monday, September 2nd 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 3rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (309 S Wall St, Floydada, TX 79235).
