It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norma Appling (Floydada, Texas), born in Seminole, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 2, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Dale and Ruth Ballah; and her siblings, Beulah, Paul and Bill.

She is survived by: her husband Joe Robert Appling; her children, David of Mt. Blanco, Mark (Cindee) and Robbye of Lubbock; and her sisters, Helen Carney of Lubbock, TX, Margaret Maddux of Waco, TX and Betty Tillman of Sachse, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Because of her love of missions and nursing, the family suggests a donation to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (send to: Southcrest Baptist Church, 3801 S. Loop 289, Lubbock, TX 79423) and/or a donation of money or blood to your local blood bank in her honor.
