It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan (Idalou) Holbert (Floydada, Texas), who passed away on June 30, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, W. A. Armstrong and Freda Sprawls Armstrong; her husband Billy Lee Holbert; her siblings, Thelma Peeples, Neil Armstrong, Don Armstrong and K. G. Armstrong (Buddy); and her son-in-law Michael D. Smith.

She is survived by: her former husband Eldon Jones; her pet Bingo; her children, Elda Smith (Michael Akins) and Mark Jones; her granddaughter Lanae Jones; her close friend Ella Jo Sisk; and her children, Kim Sisk Snodgrass of Idalou, Joe Sisk of Idalou and Kyle Sisk of Idalou. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
