He is survived by: his wife Benita Martinez; his children, Kathy Martinez, Carol Perez, Jennifer Martinez and Andy Martinez; his siblings, Mary Saucedo and Joe Martinez; his grandchildren, Abel Cortinas, Eric Perez, Kylub Martinez, Joseph Martinez, Raelene Martinez, Andrew Martinez, John Cortinas, Alyson Perez, Jessica Perales, Andrea Cortinas and Jane Perales; and his great grandchildren, Lilliana Martinez, Ariel Perez, Ermias Diggs, Zenith Diggs and Joseph Martinez Jr..

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada Wednesday (329 W California St, Floydada, TX 79235). A rosary was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (309 S Wall St, Floydada, TX 79235). A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at the Floydada Cemetery (Floydada, TX 79235).
