She was predeceased by: her parents, Cirildo Leal and Lydia Leal; her husband Joe Cavazos; and her nephew Danny Hinojosa. She is survived by: her sons, Van Jr., Chris, Jeremy and Ivan Leal; her grandchildren, Richard (Kyli Leal), Landin, Jennifer, Jessica, JoJo, Christin and Carissa Leal; her great grandchild Leo Leal; and her siblings, Christina (Narcisso Hinojosa), Maggie (Jimmy Martinez), Sonny (Romelia Leal), Cirildo, Jr. (Lillie Leal) and Sam (Rachael Leal).
