With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dovie Holmes (Floydada, Texas), who passed away on January 11, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Willis and Lennie Willis (Widener); her husband Austin Holmes; her son Ricky Derryberry; her grandchildren, Gina Adams and Justin Gray; and her brother Davis Willis.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Derryberry (Vicki) of Lubbock and Christie Gray; and her stepchildren, Steve Holmes (Pam) of Floydada and Debbie Bertrand of Floydada. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and one great-great grandson.
The family suggests donations to the Floydada Senior Citizens in Dovie's honor.
