We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Doris Cleona Mellett in Floydada, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband David L. Mellett; her sons, Charles Mellett and William "Bill" Mellett; and her parents, Charles Nichols and Mary Nichols.

She is survived by: her children, Laura Patterson (David) and John Mellett (Susie); her grandchildren, Juleianne, Will and Josh; and her great grandchild Forest. She is also survived by five nieces and two nephews.

Because Doris' many pets throughout the years gave such unconditional love, and enriched her life, the family would be honored to have donations made on her behalf to The Society for Animal Rescue and Adoption at https://sara.harnessapp.com or a charity of your choice via Legacy at https://www.legacy.com.
