He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Goodson and Nina Mae Goodson (Johnson); his wife Tommie Osborne; his son Billy Joe Goodson; and his brothers, Jim Goodson, Doug Goodson and Buddy Goodson.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Goodson (Janice) of New Iberia, Larry Goodson (Christie) of Joplin, Missouri, Twila Carter (Ron) of Hartman and Theresa Clinton (Gary) of Silverton; his daughter-in-law Pam Goodson of Groesbeck, Texas; and his siblings, Jerry Goodson (Karen) and Sue Mills (Jody) of Amarillo. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
