He is survived by: his wife Pat Carthel of Silverton; his children, Thad Carthel (Jennifer) of Tulsa and Tania Halbleib (Darin) of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Kenady Castillo (JJ) of Clovis, Jagar Halbleib (Kristin) of Clovis, Billy Carthel of Tulsa and Jeffrey Carthel of Tulsa, Oklahoma.; his great grandchildren, Leighton and Liam Castillo; and his sister Patsy Havis (Glen) of Granbury, Texas..
