He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy J. Huffington, Sr. and Ruth P. Huffington; his brother Marine Don A. Huffington; and also Aline Cannon Huffington. He is survived by: his son James David Huffington; his daughter-in-law Lana Sue Huffington; his daughter Cathy Huffington Hall; his son-in-law Kirby Hall; his nieces, Tamara Huffington Boleman and Avery Boleman; his nephew Brooks Boleman; and also, Kathy King Clarady, Kenneth Wayne King, Ann Kemper, Halene Crossman, Martha Rorschach, Bill Dawson, Ronald Dawson and Mike Dawson.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Dallas, 3001 Knox Street, No. 200, Dallas, Texas 75285 or Temple Christian Academy, 2501 Northshore Boulevard, Flower Mound, Texas 75028 for furthering student's education.
