He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Emmett and Jane Emmett (Piatt). He is survived by: his children, Emily and Jacob Emmett; and the mother of his children Michele Reith Emmett. He is also survived by five siblings, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Flower Mound Family Funeral Home (3550 Firewheel Dr, Flower Mound, TX 75028).
