Gayla Petty Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gayla Petty of Flower Mound, Texas, born in Salt Lake City, Utah, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Turner and Luana Turner; her brothers, Keith and Royce Turner; and her daughters, Stephanie Tuttle and Jennifer Petty.

She is survived by: her husband D. Craig Petty; her brother Ralph Turner (Judy); her children, Angela Loertscher (Mark), Justin Petty (Jana) and Michael Petty; her granddaughter Samantha McFarland (Justin); and her son River Petty (Olivia). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the McDougal Funeral Home - C/D (4330 S Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT 84123). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McDougal Funeral Home (4330 S Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT 84123). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (3882 Quail Run Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75028).
