She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandparents, Johann, John Kolodzey and Franciszka Strzelczyk Kolodzey; her husband Robert Bennel Poth (Bob); her parents, Frank Isador and Pauline Kolodzey Matejek; her sisters, Isabel Matejek Sugarek (Lymel), Adele Matejek Smith (William) and Catherine Matejek Sugarek (Melvin); and her children, Ruth Poth Vontur (Robert), Robert J. Poth (Kay), Stephen Poth (Sharelle), Ross Poth and Mark Poth (Tamie). She was also cherished by twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Through WCRSP she became an RSVP volunteer and helped with reading in the Poth Elementary School.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Ruth M. Poth be sent to Catholic Daughters of Americas, #1178 scholarship fund in care of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, P.O. Box 339, Poth, Texas 78147.
