He is survived by: his wife Lilly Silva Barrera of Floresville; his children, Carolyn Barrera-Murillo (Pedro) of Floresville and Remijio Barrera Jr. (Ori) of San Antonio, Texas; his grandchildren, Sidney Barrera, Mikael Barrera, Daisy Barrera and Kayly Barrera; his great grandchild Sebastian Barrera; and his siblings, Joe Barrera Jr., Florinda DeLeon, Diane Barrera, Sylvia Barrera, Eloisa Rios and Linda Sue Reyes. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
