He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Trinidad Leal and Anita Leal; his brothers, Richard, Adolfo and Reynaldo Leal; his siblings-in-law, Adela Leal, Henry Montoya and Fred Hernandez; his parents-in-law, Rudolpho and Virginia Flores; his wife Olivia Flores; his children, Joe Jr. (Rubi Munoz) and Melinda Thomas (Daryl); his grandchildren, Chase Leal, Trent Leal, Gage Leal of John Munoz, III., Gabriel Thomas and Paisley Munoz; his siblings, Ester Montoya, Dora Leal, Mary Alice Hernandez, Abelardo Leal (Dora), Trinidad Leal, Robert Leal (Debbie), Edward Leal and Alfonso Leal (Alicia); and his sister-in-law Eva Leal. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
