With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alfred Henry Bednarz Jr. of Floresville, Texas, who passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Sr. Bednarz and Helen Pollock Bednarz; his wife Evelyn Bednarz (Doege); his sons, Marshal (Michael Bednarz), Alfred Sr. (Helen Bednarz), Bennie and Selma Treybig (Bednarz); and his in-laws, Julius and Elsie Doege.
He is survived by: his children, Russell Bednarz (Mary) of Poth, TX, Cathy Golla (Charlie) of Rockport, TX and Jeffery Bednarz of Poth, TX; his grandchildren, Amy Massey (Wade), John Bednarz (Kristin), Sheri Harris (Josh), Justin Golla (April), Brittany Allan (Kertis), Tiffany Scharnhorst (Tyler) and Aaron Bednarz; his great grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler Massey, Mackey, Jae Bednarz, Cayden, Jackson Harris, Madison Scharnhorst, Odella Golla, Jason Allan and Joshua Golla; his sisters, Evelyn Lyssy (late Ernie) and Gladys Dzuik (Clarence); his in-laws, Dorothy Gawlik and Alice Titzman (Archie); and his grandsons, Chris Golla, Wade Massey and Kertis Allan. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (488 W Westmeyer St, Poth, TX 78147). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
