He was predeceased by: his sisters, Joan Mills and Nancy Trussell; and his parents, Juanita Phinny and Walter Phinny. He is survived by: his grandson Brandon; his brother Ronald Phinny of Lubbock, TX; his son-in-law Debbie Pevoteaux; his son Walter Lee Phinny; his daughter-in-law Sybie Phinny; his daughter Carla Connell; his son-in-law Ted Connell; his daughter Carolyn Haviland; his son-in-law Pete Haviland; his spouse Florence Nell Phinny; and also Sam Pevoteaux. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
