He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elmer Madewell and Margie Nell Ingram Madewell; and his brother Jimmy Madewell. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Madewell of Flint; his children, Jennifer Briggs (Phill) of Longview and Jamie Hodge (Corbin) of Flint; his grandchild Micah Wells; and his daughter Diana Zeigler (Dan).
