He was predeceased by: his fathers, John Escalante and Silas Hernandez. He is survived by: his wife Connie Escalante; his children, Jose Escalante, Julian Escalante, John Escalante, Jr., Diane Escalante, Jamie Burnett and Gary Burnett Jr.; and his grandchildren, Nikara, Naomi, Julius, Molly and Nicholas. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
