Camille Eris Pierce Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Camille Eris Pierce (Ferris, Texas), born in Hammond, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 3, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Allan Davis and Eugenia Foster; her husband Reed Pierce; her granddaughter Paige Villers; her son-in-law Johnny Wilhelm Jr.; and her brothers, Eugene, Charles and Douglas Davis.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Wilhelm, Carol Christian (Rick Barthold) and James Hilliard (Brenda); and her brother Allan Davis (Frances). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Green Funeral Home (105 Vintage Dr, Waxahachie, TX 75154). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (320 East Ovilla Road, Red Oak, TX 75154). A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Laurel Land Memorial Park (6300 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75232).

“I was blessed to be able to spend time with Camille each week during her last year and a half here on earth. What a true joy and inspiration she was. Because of Camille, I changed the way I make cornbread, I will be forever tormented by unfinished puzzles, and I will never be able to eat a tamale without thinking of her. Her life story was incredible, and I know she cherished your kids and their spouses. I love her, and am so grateful to have known her.”
