She was predeceased by : her parents, Rufus Ireal and Willie Raley (Murphy); her husband Charles V. Simmons; her son Charles Christopher Simmons; and her sister Nellwyn Raley.

She is survived by : her daughter Deidra Fletcher; her grandchildren, Christopher Lee Neely (Hillary), Brianne N. Rushton, Callie M. Holt and Taylor A. Fletcher; and her siblings, Donald Lane Raley and Billie R. Osborn (Dean).
