It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Connie Elaine Eliasson of Fate, Texas, born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on December 25, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Wayne W. Britt and Bess Britt (Tatman); and her brother Donnie Britt. She is survived by : her husband David John Eliasson; and her son Guy Eliasson (Jennifer).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Joy Lutheran Church in Connie's name.

“I am so sorry to read this. Please pass my condolences to David. It was thanks to Connie and David that I had my precious kitten (and later cat), Nicholas, for 11 years! They invited me for dinner in Tirana when we all were working there. Nicholas was in Gordy's kennel when I arrived. They told me they were going to return the little guy (about three weeks old), to where they found him if I did not take him! They suitably shamed me and Nicholas traveled with me to Jordan, Lebanon and the USA!”

But I still remember lovely Connie for her humor and friendship, and many happy evenings spent at her home, where she was a fun hostess, and introduced me to the ‘Gumbo' she prepared with such love and pride. My sincere condolences to you both, David and Guy, and I want you to know the happy memories and warm feelings I will always have whenever I think about your lovely wife and mother. RIP, dear Connie.
