He was predeceased by: his mother Yolanda Ramon Bermejo. He is survived by: his father Gregorio Cortez Sr.; his wife Asalia Gasca Cortez; his children, Santos Cortez Jr., Steven Gasca Cortez, Leland James Cortez, Brissia Guadalupe Cortez, Bella Cortez and Elissa Cortez; and his siblings, Helen Gonzalez (Olivia), Jose Ruiz (Erma), Zenon Perez (Gregorio Jr.), Amy Cortez (Domingo), Raina Cortez (Antonio Cortez), Charles (Julie Cortez), Yolanda (Miquel Garcia) and Alicia Villanueva (David Villanueva). He is also survived by 34 nieces and nephews; 43 great-nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family.
