He was predeceased by: his parents, David Spencer Howell and Mattie Mae Howell (Martin); his siblings, Eunice Kalb, Wilma Williams, O. D. Howell, Finis Howell, James Howell and R. C. Howell; and his great grandchild Riata Treadway.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Howell of Farmersville; his children, Tommy Howell of Irving, Linda Bolen (William) of Hooks, Sherri Plunk of Farmersville, Sherry Davis (Johnie) of Farmersville and Joanne Vaillancourt of Farmersville, Texas.; and his brother David Wayne "Red" Howell of Tiki Island, Texas.. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
