He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Artis and Blanche Artis. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Dixon; his stepchildren, Alicia and James Dixon; his sister Donna Talerico; his children, Mark Artis Jr. and Stephanie Heidelbach; his grandsons, Troy Artis and Ian Heidelbach; his aunt Pauline Roberson; his cousin Kaye Carroll; and his niece Crystal Evans.
