He was predeceased by: his parents, James Francis and Vera Hileman Spollin; and his stepparents, Pearl Spollin and Carlos Noelke. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Spollin; his daughter Morgan Michelle; his former wife Carrie Davison; his children, John Patrick, Sandra Simonds (Donald), Robert Matthew and Lisa Moore (Roger); and his grandchildren, Blake Moore (Paulina) and Hayley Moore.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
