He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dickerson and Mary Dickerson (Gandy); his wife Bettye Dickerson; and his siblings, Lee Roy and Faye Young.
He is survived by: his brother Dick Dickerson (Barbara); his sister-in-law Arlene Johnston; his sons, Dennis Dickerson (Sarah), Rick Dickerson, Jack Dickerson (Brenda) and Mark Dickerson (Sandy); and his nieces and nephews, Lisa Smith (Bob), Cathy Dickerson, Vickie Shelton (Joel) and Kim Hurst (Jack). He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and four great-great- grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 511 Foote St, McKinney, Texas 75069.
