He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Bass and Mary Bass; and his sister Mary Evelyn. He is survived by: his wife Rhoena Sangster of Dallas, Texas; his brother Joe Bass of Ardmore, Oklahoma; his children, Debbi Keithley of Dallas, Texas and Kennie Sangster of Carrollton, Texas; his grandchildren, Shannon Glass (Ronald) of Carrollton, Texas, Stephanie Lollar (Dustin) of The Woodlands, Texas and Tony Keithley (Lora) of Kansas City, Kansas; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Glass, Luke Glass, Reese Glass, Jacob Glass, Audrey Lollar, Ava Lollar, Allie Lollar, Cole Burton, Tucker Keithley and Lane Keithley.

Sam fought many battles over his 92 years, but COVID was one that he could not defeat.
