He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Cox and Ollie Pearl Mosley Cox; and his sisters, Barbara Ann Cox and Johnnie Faye White. He is survived by: his wife Tammy G. Cox of Fannett; his son Clifton Lee Cox (Alexis Lingo) of Mauriceville; his stepdaughter Tami Soileau (Darrell) of Port Arthur; his stepgranddaughters, Ashley Young Roberts (Blaine) of Port Neches and Kyli Rene Stegall of Port Arthur; and his sister Bobbie J. McCarty of Louin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
