He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Lee Johnson Porter and Jewel Elgin Porter; his wife Ima Jean Porter; his son Horace Leon "JuJu" Porter Jr.; and his sister Mary Hooks.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Watson (David) of Fannett, Christy Fountain (Kevin) of Port Arthur, Donald Porter (Sherry) of Fannett and Kenneth W. Porter (Dora) of San Antonio; and his siblings, Max Porter (Judy) of California and Helen Hanley of Fannett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
