He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Olenick and Mary Bednorz Olenick; his wife Florence Pawelek; his brother Fred; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Jaksik and Helen Kay Olenick.
He is survived by: his siblings, John Olenick (Rita), Ben Olenick (Jane), Claude Olenick (Yvonne), George Olenick, Olivia Blanchard (Mark) and Sally Jaksik; his sister-in-law Cathey Olenick; and his nephew Kenneth Olenick (Wanda).
