He is survived by: his son Robert Schmidt, Jr.; his siblings, Michael Schmidt (Tammy) of Pennsylvania and Margery James of New Jersey; his grandchildren, Jessica Franklin (Kody) of Cypress, TX, Andrew Schmidt (Margaret) of Grand Prairie, TX and Brittney Schmidt of Fairfield; and his great grandchild Ivy Franklin.
