He is survived by: his wife Lottie; his children, Lottie Compton, Michelle Mason, Eleena Bugg, Eugene Burks and Jerry Burks; and his grandchildren, Jamie Grimes, David Mason, Chastine Mason, Joseph Mason, Adren Brandon, Chelsie Ledyard, Amber Mason, Kelsie Bugg, Felicia Mason, Kaitlyn Chadwick, Courtney Bugg, Michael Burkes, Randell Burks, Preston Burks, Chris Burks and Robert Burks. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home (450 E Main St, Fairfield, TX 75840). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Birdston Cemetery (5422 Farm to Market 416, Streetman, TX 75859).
